Data Analyst Opportunity: Join the Digital Health Revolution in Kenya

Attention all aspiring data analysts! Here’s a chance to make a real impact in Kenya’s digital health revolution. The Digital Health Agency (DHA), a trailblazer in Kenya’s healthcare sector, is on the hunt for a Data Analyst to join their mission-driven team. But here’s where it gets controversial: DHA, a semi-autonomous government agency, is partnering with Medic, a global nonprofit, to drive this digital transformation. And this is the part most people miss: it’s not just about the tech, it’s about using data to improve health outcomes for citizens.

The Data Analyst role is a full-time, fixed-term position until April 2026, with the potential for extension based on performance and funding. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to collect, clean, and analyze health and program data, transforming it into actionable insights that will shape policy, operations, and strategy.

You’ll be working closely with the Division of Health Information Management, reporting to the Head of the division. Your work will be based at DHA’s offices in Nairobi, so be ready for an exciting relocation!

Key responsibilities include data collection, validation, and maintenance from multiple sources. You’ll also be analyzing data, developing dashboards and reports, and collaborating with teams to define KPIs. It’s a role that demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to a variety of audiences.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Health Information Management, Statistics, or Information Systems, and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analysis or related roles. Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical software is a must, as is knowledge of database management and SQL queries.

Medic, our global nonprofit partner, is dedicated to advancing equitable care and strengthening community health systems. With a team of 60 professionals across 14 countries, they’ve developed the Community Health Toolkit (CHT), an open-source platform supporting over 131,000 health workers and enabling over 128 million healthcare activities.

If you’re passionate about using data to drive positive change in healthcare, this is your chance to make a difference. Apply through Medic’s online portal and be part of this exciting journey.
