Attention all organizations! An exciting opportunity has arrived to make a difference in mental healthcare. The Australian Government is funding an initiative to enhance community-based mental health services, and you can be a part of it!
HNECC PHN is seeking capable and experienced organizations to establish and run new Medicare Mental Health Centres (MMHCs) in two key regions: the Central Coast and Tamworth/Armidale. These centres will provide much-needed support to adults in the community, offering a range of services by multidisciplinary teams.
MMHCs are a vital step towards improving access to mental health care. They offer walk-in clinical support, psychosocial assistance, peer support, and help navigating the complex healthcare system. It’s an innovative approach to ensure those in need can easily access the right care.
But here’s where it gets controversial… The government is investing in these centres, but it’s up to organizations like yours to make them a reality. Are you ready to take on this challenge and make a positive impact?
Two tenders will be released on November 26, 2025, via Tenderlink. The deadlines for responses are January 14, 2026, for the Central Coast, and January 21, 2026, for Tamworth and Armidale.
To participate, your organization must be registered on Tenderlink. If you’re not already registered, now is the time to do so! You’ll find all the necessary information and links to register and access the tender documents in this announcement.
And this is the part most people miss… It’s crucial to ensure your organization’s registration is up-to-date and that the right people within your team are listed to receive the Tenderlink notifications. Don’t let a simple oversight cost you this opportunity!
For those new to the tender process, we’ve included a video guide on how to submit an online response. It’s a simple step-by-step process, but we want to ensure everyone has the support they need.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out to the HNECC PHN Contracts and Procurement Team. Their email is hneccphncontracts@thephn.com.au.
Once the tenders are published, a Tenderlink Forum will be available for respondents to post questions and seek clarifications.
This is a unique chance to be part of a government-funded initiative that will have a real impact on mental health services. We encourage you to seize this opportunity and make a difference!
Remember, it’s not just about the tender; it’s about improving lives and making a positive change in your community.
Are you ready to take on this challenge? We look forward to hearing from you!
